I picked up the Carbon Express Blade from Midway on sale last season while ordering a Leupold Crossbones scope for another crossbow I have. My reason for getting it and trying it out was that the limbs on the Blade were much smaller than my then current crossbow, which would make it easier to carry through the woods and brush. Setup was easy. After getting it setup I installed the Leupold Crossbones scope on it and went out to my archery range to try it out. After getting the scope zeroed in at the 20 yard target, I was easily hitting bullseyes from 20 to 80 yards. The Blade is lightweight and easy to aim and hold it steady. The adjustable stock is a definite plus over my other crossbow which isn't adjustable. The smaller limbs are great for carrying this crossbow through the woods and brush. The Piledriver bolts topped with NAP Killzone broadheads make for a deadly combination. I did add a Limbsaver Crossbow Vibration Silencer kit to the Blade as I had to do with my other crossbow and I have yet to see a quiet crossbow, at least as quiet as my compound bows. I took the Blade out hunting with me during the 2016 archery deer season and took my first crossbow deer, a 12 point Missouri whitetail buck. I was in a tree stand 25 foot off the ground and I hit him 45 yards away as he was prancing towards a doe that had been hanging out near my stand all morning. If you're looking for your first crossbow or you're looking for a lightweight and easy to carry crossbow that shoots fast and accurate, I would recommend the Blade. This is the only crossbow I have ever shot so I don't have anything to compare it to. I bought this strictly because the deal at the time was too good to pass up. That being said I don't know what more you need in a hunting crossbow. It's accurate, reliable, smooth shooting and safe. I replaced the grip with a more comfortable AR15 grip I had lying around...minor modification to the grip was required. The included scope is certainly not high end but does the job.
